Blueprints allow a vision of the unseen.
They are xray-like; allowing us to see the bones of architecture, imagine enormous objects, and fathom their substructure. The blueprint's insoluble ferroferricyanide - called Turnball's blue and identical to Prussian Blue - becoming the color linked to the expression of systems and planning.
These artists see beauty in the language of the architectural drawing or urban plan, use the diagrammatic as a source for abstraction, or as an unveiling of invisible symmetries, from the subversive to the sublime.

Curated by Linda Griggs
Join us, Thursday, October 20th, from 6-9pm for a blue food reception for the artists scheduled in conjunction with Lower East Side's Gallery Late Night. The show closes with an informal gallery talk with the artists on October 30th at 6pm
